Some of you might wonder why there is so little going on here. The main reason is that Shani has joined forces with Carolyn Sheppard (ex shaven monkey) on a mostly permanent basis, they are gigging about and doing some recordings and stuff.

They even have a website!
(God bless whoever invented these...)

Anyway, that's a safe bet of finding out more about where things are. There is some things cooking in the St. Neots Folk Club, Bury St Edmonds Milkmaid and more with the Pagan Festivalers.

(almost) Everything for Free
Shani has teamed up with Shave the Monkey veteran, Carolyn Sheppard, for a gig at the Free Folk Day at the Red Lion Pub in Whittlesford.

The Folk Day is a long running tradition at the Red Lion, and Carolyn and Shani, dubbed Shney Kolote (Two Voices in Hebrew), will be performing in the evening gala a set of both of their songs.
The Folk day will be held on Saturday, August 26, at the Red Lion Pub, Whittlesford, Cambridgeshire, and will host a host of singing/playing/songwriting activities, an open stage and dancing. The day starts at 1PM, and performances are due to start in the evening time. No admission fees, although food and drink are not free. Click here for more details.

Can’t wait?.. Why not pop to Sawbridgeworth, Hertfordshire for a spot of evening fun, and join the fantastic Hertfordshire Jammers every other Monday at The Old Bell Inn?
Just a short, brisk walk from Sawbridgeworth train station (Trains from Liverpool Street and Cambridge stations run until midnight), this phenomenal bi-monthly jam holds some of the best underdogged talent in the area. Ample free parking after 6:30PM in the town’s parking lots.
Officially starting at 8PM, and late attendees will not be left in the cold. Strangers are always welcome, and new musicians are warmly accepted.
